Domaine Fourrier la Chapelle Bourgogne Rouge 2022

From the historic Domaine Vigne Comte de Chapelle vineyards—with vines planted in 1963—Domaine Fourrier Bourgogne Rouge “La Chapelle” 2022 bears the hallmark elegance of Jean‑Marie Fourrier. Vinified in Gevrey‑Chambertin using ~20% whole clusters, indigenous yeasts, and aged in oak with minimal new wood, this wine is unfined and unfiltered to best express its terroir.

In glass, the wine shows deep ruby hues with purple tints. On the nose, expect red fruits—cherry, strawberry, bilberry—along with hints of spice and forest humus. The palate is polished and refined: medium-bodied, fresh acidity, silky tannins, ripe red berry core, and a mineral lift leading to a clean, lingering finish.

Enjoy it now with decanting, or cellar to 2027 for added depth. Serve at 14–16°C. Pairs well with roast chicken, mushroom dishes, charcuterie, or grilled pork.
