AJ Vaona Meursault 2022

AJ Vaona Meursault 2022 is crafted from 100% Chardonnay sourced from a 40-year-old parcel in Les Forges, producing a beautiful expression of its terroir. The wine undergoes low-temperature fermentation and is aged for around 10 months in oak barrels (30% new), striking a balance between richness and finesse.

The glass reveals a pale golden-yellow hue. On the nose, expect vibrant notes of ripe citrus, melon, elderflower, toasted nuts, honey, herbal verbena, and subtle flint. The palate is medium–full with a creamy texture, juicy fruit, crisp acidity, and a saline-mineral backbone leading to a persistent finish.

Drink now through 2026 for freshness, or cellar through 2030 to allow texture and depth to evolve. Best served at 11–13 °C. Pairs excellently with seafood (scallops, lobster), creamy poultry dishes, and mild cheeses.
